Every donation helps people in Estonia better understand the world we live in. UNA Estonia creates opportunities to learn about international relations, understand the role of the UN and develop the skills needed in an increasingly interconnected world. Our aim is to raise awareness of global challenges and help build a society that can engage with them and seek solutions.

A significant share of donations supports the Youth Diplomats Programme, through which we send young people from Estonia to the world’s largest UN simulation, Global Model UN New York. The programme involves much more than attending an international conference: participants first complete training, meet Estonian diplomats and subject-matter experts, and undertake thorough preparation. In this way, they gain knowledge and experience that are difficult to acquire through conventional education. We want every motivated young person to be able to participate in the programme, regardless of their financial circumstances. Your donation helps fund scholarships and makes the programme accessible to those for whom it would otherwise be out of reach.

In addition to the Youth Diplomats Programme, UNA Estonia organises youth conferences and public discussions that bring the UN, international relations and global issues closer to people in Estonia. We also hold discussions at the Opinion Festival, where we introduce international topics to a wider audience and help explain how the UN and developments around the world affect Estonia and our daily lives. In this way, we aim to make international issues understandable and relevant to society as a whole, not only to young people. Every donation helps us create more opportunities for learning, cooperation and meaningful public debate. Together, we can equip people in Estonia with the knowledge and skills to help shape the future of both Estonia and the world.
